Spring has arrived in Stone Well

After a very tough growing season in 2019 our vines at Mattiske Road and across the valley have just awoken from their winter slumber. Budburst has now happened across all varieties on the Estate Vineyard. I am sure the vines appreciated their extended rest over winter.

Like everyone in the valley, they too look forward with optimism to the year ahead. This year, we have experienced winter rains below the long term average but significantly better than we experienced in the winter of 2018. The vines will certainly start the year with good reserves of moisture to support the forecasted dry year ahead.
