2018 Winemaker’s Selection Roussanne

Huon Hooke (huon.hooke.com)

90 points (Silver Medal) - Light to mid-yellow colour, with a lightly peach and stone-fruit aroma married with a little nuttiness, probably from fermenting in older barrels. The wine is light and refreshing, with attractive flavour which is not simplistic, the palate having some grapiness and spicy, lemony fruit flavours. A very attractive soft dry white with a nicely rounded, yet refined palate. 28/2/2019

92 Points - This grew on me. Such a lovely wine to enjoy with a meal, its generous delivery and rounded edges kept me going back for more.

Lovely aromas of yellow flowers, margarine, waxy characters, preserved lemon, some yellow stonefruit, toasted cashews honeyed and tones. These roll into the mouth with ease with added touches of buttered toast entering the fray late. It's the width and length that hovers for some time which has me reaching out once more. I could have a couple of glasses easy.

Drink now to five years
