Shiraz remains the king of the Barossa Valley. There is almost 10,000 ha of Shiraz vineyards, but we can assure you that not all growers nor vineyards are the same. Different soil, aspects, clones and of course the grower themselves all make a difference.
At Hayes Family Wines we pride ourselves on the vineyards we own and those that are owned by our growers. We have always made a Barossa Shiraz, a wine that provided our customers with a path into Hayes Family Wines. A blend of principally grower vineyards made in our traditional style. These wines were made up to and including the 2023 vintage but have been discontinued since. There is no more Hayes Family Wines Barossa Valley Shiraz being made with this blue strip denoting the Barossa Valley blend of vineyards. All our wines going forward will be single vineyard.
These Wines are excellent. With us no longer actively selling these wines, it is time for us to move on. We are offering the 2021, 2022, and 2023 Vintages of the Barossa Shiraz, in dozen lots, free freight anywhere in Australia for $280 per dozen. Member discounts still apply. These are drinking beautifully now and will continue to do so for many years to come.
