Sale Price: $112.50 Original Price: $125.00

“At Pre-Release Pricing until 30 September 2026 - Shipping in October 2026”

The Hoffmann’s have been farming grape vines in Ebenezer for well over 150 years. The Old Dallwitz block being the most prized in a collection of wonderful vineyard blocks spread across the Northern Barossa. This Shiraz comes from the oldest plantings, 1888. We consider it a privilege to have access to these grapes year in year out, a wonderful addition to the Family Selection Range.

Hoffmann fruit is characterised by a richness and depth of fruit that comes with an inherrent ripeness that characterises the fruit style. Northern Shiraz fruit in a great season - powerful bright purple red hue, blackberry and earth, full bodied. The fruit is remarkedly dense, but open and approachable even at this young age. Undoubtedly a wine for cellaring, but for me, with the right food drinking well today.

2024 HOFFMANN DALLWITZ 1888 Shiraz

GROWING SEASON
The dry winter and spring made the vines work during the early part of the growing season, and bud burst started in September, three weeks earlier than the year before. Damaging frosts particularly, in September and October meant some vineyards had significant damage that influenced their subsequent yield. Veraison in many vineyards was a month earlier than 2023. Reds, with small berries, show intensity and vibrancy. Shiraz excelled.
