Young Guns Of Wine Vineyard of the Year 2022 - Winners Announced

YGOW Vineyard of the YEAR 2022

The annual Vineyard of the Year Awards have been decided, with the trophy winners for the third instalment announced at a trophy presentation in Melbourne on Tuesday night – the first in-person presentation for these awards.

Hayes Family Wines was once again a proud finalist for Old Vineyard of the Year and Vineyard of the Year. The 3rd year in a row for us. You can read the details here. And we had a great night sharing some fantastic food with many of the other finalists (all of whom supplied plenty of wine!)

The very worth winners this year were:

New Vineyard of the Year – Granjoux, Beechworth (Victoria)

Old Vineyard of the Year, Yangarra – High Sands, McLaren Vale (SA).

Innovative Vineyard of the Year, dubbed ‘The Groundbreaker’, Hither & Yon – Sand Road, McLaren Vale (SA).

Vineyard of the Year, Adelina, Clare Valley (SA).

Michael Lane (Yangarra), Colin McBryde (Adelina), Richard Leask (Hither & Yon) and Eliza Mantello (Granjoux)

Some truly wonderful vineyards in the top 50 and 4 very worth winners. It was particularly exciting to see Col McBryde from Adelina and good friends of ours the Leask brothers from Hither & Yon. Great people doing great stuff!

Rory and his team put on a great process each year, we were extremely proud to be involved once more.
