2024 Estate Field Blend Blanc Block 12
($42.50 Wine Club price)
From our micro block of rhone white varietals, Grenache Blanc, Clairette and Marsanne grown on our Certified Organic Estate Vineyard in Stone Well in the Western Barossa Valley. This block of a mere 400 vines performed extremely well in the wonderful 2024 vintage, but once again, a small crop with less than 200 bottles produced.
This wine is bright, lifted florals, stone fruits, medium bodied and quite textural. Light in alcohol and all the better for it. A wine that is drinking very well on release and a perfect match for richer seafood and lighter meat dishes.
Our best White yet from our Estate Block. If only there was more

2024 ESTATE FIELD BLEND BLANC BLOCK 12
GROWING SEASON
The dry winter and spring made the vines work during the early part of the growing season, and bud burst started in September, three weeks earlier than the year before. Damaging frosts particularly, in September and October meant some vineyards had significant damage that influenced their subsequent yield. Veraison in many vineyards was a month earlier than 2023. Whites ripened quickly, retaining good fragrance and natural acids early.
Reds, with small berries, show intensity and vibrancy. An unseasonal heatwave in early March caused short-lived concern for growers, but for those grapes that were still hanging they recovered well in the cooler weather that followed. Depending on site and variety, crops are anywhere between 50 and 90% of normal.
Grenache was standout for quality and yield, Shiraz was well down but looks very good in quality terms. Whites and Rose’ look amazing. We have very high hopes for the vintage in the years to come.
TASTING NOTE
From our micro block of rhone white varietals, Grenache Blanc, Clairette and Marsanne grown on our Certified Organic Estate Vineyard in Stone Well in the western Barossa Valley. This block of a mere 400 vines produced a tiny crop but the quality was very high and we picked and fermented all 3 varieties together. Intriguing to say the least. This wine is bright, lifted florals, stone fruits, medium bodied and quite textural. Light in alcohol and all the better for it. Our best white wine yet, if only there was more.

2021 Estate Grenache Blanc
Vintage Journal (Andrew Caillard)
92 Points - A typically shy Grenache Blanc but does have good aromatic complexity with its layers of grapefruit, honey and straw aromas in a bright and clean style. Dry, crisp and textural, there is an appealing creamy texture and impact thanks to fine, bright acidity, which drives a finish of good length.

92 Points - I'm a fan of grenache blanc, so was chuffed to see this release roll past my schnoz. Pale straw in the glass with characters of citrus, nashi pear and white peach fruits with hints of marzipan, soft spice, crushed stone, almond blossom and lighter tones of dried herbs. Savoury and stony in the mouth, there's a slight slinky phenolic tweak, a nice minerally acid cadence and a waft of quartz and herbs on the dry finish.
