This year we will once again be participating in various Good Food and Wine Shows across Sydney, Perth and Brisbane. These events provide a great opportunity to not only sample our latest releases, but also many other wineries and food offerings too. We also get some free tickets so would be great to see you at one of the shows.
In our only virtual tasting this year, we will be celebrating the release of our Estate wines in June 2023. And what a wonderful set of wines. There will be 9 wines to taste, including some special Shiraz wines that have never been seen before (and won't be released to the public). We'll spend about 1.5 hours chatting about all things wine and answer any questions you have. The virtual tasting will be on Thursday 8 June at 7.30pm AEST.
Vintage is the best time to visit the Barossa. Each year, between February and May the Barossa is alive, picking grapes, making wine, socialising and celebrating. Every 2 years, the Barossa stages an event to celebrate, the Barossa Vintage Festival. Come visit in April 2023 and join the festivities
The last two years, essentially spent with in the Australian borders has been wonderful, but it is time to get back on the road, dinners, events, here we come!
The Barossa Arts Festival is a month long event through April 2022 celebrating the living artists throughout South Australia. Hayes Family Wines are celebrating with local artist, Janette Humble. Janette’s work is vibrant, emotive and expressionistic. We love it and I am sure you will too.

Hayes Family Wines is once again very excited to announce our fantastic results as published in the 2026 Halliday Wine Companion. Each years results are eagerly awaited by both the wine industry and consumers alike. Hayes Family Wines once again received 5 Red Stars reflecting our very consistent ratings for our submitted wines.
Hayes Family Wines was fortunate to host Angus Hughson for a visit in July. Angus is responsible for Vinous in Australia, one the worlds most respected wine publications. He wrote up many of the Best Barossa wines including many of ours from the 2021 and 2022 vintages. He rated 2022 one of the greats, which I can absolutely concur.

Our Estate Vineyards and our family owned Grower Vineyards are the hart of what we do. We have access to some of the best grapes in the world. All of our growers are multi-generational and have been on their land growing grapes in the family for over 100 years, many more than 150 years. They know their land and we all benefit from the knowledge that has been passed down for generations. Once a year we get together and drink the fruits of their labour, and what a night it is!
